Character photo in, a 28mm or 32mm mini out, printed on your Mac's terms.
You can turn a character photo into a 3D-printable tabletop miniature on a Mac with 3D Mate. Generate the model from your photo, choose an engine that keeps sharp geometry at small scale, then export a watertight STL or 3MF and slice it for resin or FDM. It runs entirely on-device, with no cloud and no per-model fees.
A 28mm or 32mm miniature is tiny, so fine detail is easily lost. Favour engines with sharp geometry: TripoSG for the crispest shape, or Hi3DGen and Step1X-3D, which reconstruct clean edges aimed at printing. A resin printer resolves small detail far better than FDM at this scale.
Export STL or 3MF from 3D Mate. The mesh comes out watertight and upright, so it drops straight into your slicer. Scale to your system's base size, and consider slicing the model into parts for cleaner supports on delicate areas. See the 3D printing overview.
Shoot the character with even lighting and a clean background, ideally from a few angles so the back is faithful rather than guessed. Then generate, check the shape in the viewer, and export. For larger display pieces, see photo to 3D-printed figurine.
